While you wait.

It will be a while until I release any more from the novel. I have a lot of work to do to get the bits I did release up to snuff, and want to get it nice and sparkly before anyone sees more of it. In other words, I won’t release more of the book until it actually gets published. That means no more chapters going up on worthyofpublishing.com.

The good news?

I do have something to share with you! This is a piece of fanfiction based on the show The Walking Dead that I was working on to brush-up my writing skills this year. It is incomplete, but finishing it will be on the docket as soon as Empire gets done. I am very proud of my work on it so far. If you know the show, then the story has some twists and turns that will truly surprise you. That’s also why I’m not going to give away a lot of the details here.

Just make sure you have watched all the available episodes before reading it!

I have also started work on a different piece. It will probably end up being a novella. I’m aiming for around 30,000 words. It is much more genre than Empire. It is set in a dystopian  world in which a corporation controls all of the cities and outlying areas are being used as farms. The population is tightly controlled by a corporation called The Sycamore Corporation- so much so that people are not allowed to have children anymore. Instead, for the last twenty years, new children have been raised in a government run facility. The book stars one of the only remaining freely-born girls, and concerns a bag full of papers that she inherits from a childhood friend. The bag contains the keys a revolutionary force fighting the government needs to fight back and prove the brutal history that Sycamore has been trying to hide.

I will post some of it when it is ready. I will probably only post the first chapter or two, but I will let you all know when more is available. It’s called, The Light of Silver and Gold. If you want to check out what influenced it, dig up the old film ZPG (Zero Population Growth), Blade Runner, Minority Report, and the episode of Star Trek titled Miri. They are pretty different than my work, but I think they have the same Tone.
