INTRODUCTION

Welcome, Initiate.

If this dossier has reached your hands, you are no longer an outsider to the veil. Something has seen you. And more importantly, something believes you might survive.

My name is Caldwell. I’ve walked the folds between time, memory, and invention. I’ve seen children age in reverse, mirrors that remember you before you were born, and men who wrote their own names into extinction.

This is your guide. Use it to understand the architecture of the war you’re entering. And do not confuse this with a history lesson. What follows is not dead. It’s waiting.

SECTION -1: WHAT IS THE O.A.P.?

Order Against the Profane is not a military force. Not a religious cult. Not a scientific institute.

It is a reckoning of perception—formed in 1919 after the first synchronized mirror anomalies occurred across seven nations simultaneously. Founded by poets, defectors, occultists, and physicists, the O.A.P. exists to protect consciousness from intrusion—to map, contain, and, if needed, destroy recursive artifacts and veil ruptures.

We are the watchers behind the watchers. We burn the pages before they’re written. We do not seek glory, and we do not win.

Our mission is simple:

  • Identify mirrorborn activity
  • Catalog and neutralize reality loops
  • Intervene when a subject becomes unwritten
  • Maintain operational secrecy above all

Our motto: That which returns must be remembered. That which forgets must be guided.

You are not the first to hold this dossier. You won’t be the last. But you might be the one who survives.

SECTION 0: CORE CONCEPTS

Tethering

Tethering refers to a metaphysical bond—intended or accidental—between two individuals across dimensions, memories, or spiritual frequencies. A tethered individual may experience:

  • Emotional bleed-through from the source
  • Involuntary dream alignment
  • Mirror disassociation (seeing one’s double acting autonomously)

Crowley and Poe are the most notable tether-pair in recorded history. One burns forward through will; the other bleeds backward through grief.

Recursive Events

Recursion is the phenomenon wherein an action, memory, or moment loops—either in time or across consciousness. Signs include:

  • Repeating conversations no one remembers having
  • Emotional déjà vu that provokes physical symptoms
  • Self-reinforcing mirror behavior (e.g., blinking twice before it happens)
  • Temporal displacement dreams or spontaneous emotion with no known trigger

Déjà vu, in particular, is often the first and most subtle indicator of the veil responding to you. It may feel like memory catching up with fate—or fate being rewritten in real time.

Some recursion loops are harmless. Others fracture reality.

Tethering and recursion often interact. One anchors the other. If you feel either: document, observe, do not react. Emotion feeds the spiral.

SECTION I: ON THE VEIL

The Veil is not symbolic. It’s the perceptual membrane between the known and the recursive. Step too close, and the world begins to blink.

Signs you’re near a Veil Tear:

  • Clock hands spinning counterclockwise
  • Reflections acting independently
  • Repeating numbers or phrases
  • Memory bleed (recalling moments you didn’t live)

Field Protocol: If a veil tear is encountered, speak your true name (the one that came in dream or crisis). Anchor to an emotional memory. DO NOT touch the veil unless guided.

SECTION II: ON MIRRORS

Mirrors are not passive. They store reflections, intentions, alternate selves.

Functions:

  • Temporal communication
  • Divination
  • Identifying mirrorborn entities

Dangers:

  • Cracked mirrors often house trapped spirits or psychic echoes
  • Eye contact with yourself during grief or rage may trigger recursion

Warning: A mirror that fogs without breath is not reflecting you.

SECTION III: PRIMARY LOCATIONS

1. The Castle

A resonance anchor. Once Crowley’s refuge. Now a collapsed cathedral of echo.

  • Known manifestations: Salazar’s shadow, Clara in ritual dress, bound Poe fragment
  • Bring no childhood artifacts. The walls remember them.

2. The Warehouse

Disguised as a WWII logistics depot.

  • Stores anomalous artifacts (Lenore’s ribbon, the Silent Mirror)
  • Internal time distortion confirmed. Third visit is fatal to untrained agents.

3. St. John’s & Westmoor Academy

Educational grounds turned dream residue.

  • First site of Aleister’s ritual breaches
  • Now appears in recursion loops
  • Symbols: seven-pointed stars, weeping boys, chapel echoes

4. The Hollow House

Frank’s dream-memory structure. Each version reveals different timelines.

  • Avoid attic unless veil-stabilized
  • Elizabeth’s echo resides here. Observes, mourns, guides

5. The Spindle

Impossible tower. Sometimes lighthouse, sometimes Tesla’s failed dream.

  • Constructed of emotion and recursion
  • Ritual convergence point. Proceed with spiritual tethering only

6. The Mirror-Field

Field of fractured mirrors. Entry point for echo-based traversal.

  • Clara was heard naming Poe here
  • Common in mirrored sleepwalk reports

7. O.A.P. Archives, Division VII

Current location. Safe for now. Mirrors under lockdown.

  • Do not speak in the reflection chambers. They answer.

8. The Warehouse

REDACTED

SECTION IV: KEY FIGURES

  • Frank M. Anderson – Author, interloper, subject of interest. Central to veil architecture.
  • Clara – Mirrorborn. Possible stabilizer or catalyst. Veil-sensitive.
  • Edgar Allan Poe – Unstable, tethered to Crowley. Emotional frequency = high.
  • Aleister Crowley – Catalyst. Initiated mirror events. Bound to Salazar.
  • Elizabeth – Girl in wheelchair. Seen in veil ruptures. Represents sorrow-memory tethering.
  • The Host – Observer/Trickster. Possible narrator entity.
  • Salazar – Central entity. God and Devil. Architect of the tethering.

This dossier will update as events progress.

Prepare yourself. The mirror doesn’t reflect. It remembers.
