Follow here for updated on the piece of fiction I am working on called Wolf Wounds. I am producing this alongside ChatGPT, using it as a writing partner, not to write the whole text for me, but to see what the two of us can create.
I am well aware of the debate around the use of AI, which is why I want to be open about the processes I use in my fiction writing, which includes ‘traditional’ writing along with use of the tools I have at my disposal right now.
I invite you to follow along while I create this work.
WOLF WOUNDS
A Doomed Romance
By Frank M. Anderson
Synopsis
Lily Harlow has spent years surviving on the run with the only man she’s ever truly loved—
a man who becomes something monstrous under the moon.
Once a month, when the transformation takes him, Mark turns into a creature he can’t remember being. Lily chains him down, talks him through the terror, and keeps the world safe from the nightmare that wears his face.
It’s dangerous.
It’s messy.
It’s the closest thing to a purpose she’s ever had.
But one night, Lily slips.
One high.
One forgotten chain.
And the wolf tears through a quiet city park, leaving carnage in its wake.
Now they’re running again—but someone else is running toward them.
Caleb Vance, a ruthless monster-collector with a private stable of chained horrors, sees the massacre and knows the truth:
Mark wasn’t always free.
He escaped.
And Caleb wants him back.
Lily flees across the dying towns and forgotten highways of America searching for help—only to discover that Mark’s past is darker, bigger, and far more connected to her own history than she ever realized. The remnants of Mark’s old pack. A child marked by the wolf. A town wiped clean. Whispers of a government faction hunting supernatural bloodlines for reasons no one understands.
Meanwhile, Mark follows a trail of destruction that shouldn’t exist—burned-out convoys, dead monsters, scorched earth—and realizes something even more powerful than Caleb is hunting in the dark. Something intelligent.
Something organized.
Something that wants him.
As the moon rises again and all forces converge, Lily and Mark are pulled into a violent intersection of addiction, love, loyalty, and the kind of secrets that destroy entire bloodlines.
Some monsters are hunted.
Some are made.
And some… are loved anyway.
